About This Blog:  I started this blog as a means to capture and share my thoughts on spiritual leadership as found in the Bible.  My hope is to grow spiritually through the course of preparing and posting comments and having open discussions based on them so that, over time, I may become more like the Chief Shepherd (1 Peter 5:4, NASB), my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

About the Author:  Don and his beautiful wife Lisa are Junior High sweethearts originally from Cove, Arkansas. They have been Christians since 1987 and have two children, Ryan and Bethany. Don started his Army career and Lisa started her career as a Registered Nurse after graduating from the University of Central Arkansas.

Don (with Lisa’s help!) has served as a youth minister at the Liberty Church of Christ in Vilonia, Arkansas, and both a youth deacon and small group leader for the Leavenworth Church of Christ in Kansas. He began serving as an elder with the Castle Rock Church of Christ on July 10, 2011.

Don’s interests include physical fitness, college sports, American and military history, good movies, and grilling on the BBQ.
